WHY WE DIFFER

The Classic Events team has collectively over thirty years event management experience between us.

This experience encompasses event management, sponsorship and exhibition management, sales and marketing, sponsorship relationship building, business development and venue management.

We have successfully run the iconic Balloons over Waikato for the past eleven years, one of the last large scale free events in the country and classified as a ‘Hallmark’ event for the region. We also run two of the country’s most successful exhibitions - The Camper Care New Zealand Motorhome, Caravan & Leisure Show, North and South as well The Great NZ Food Show and the inaugural Great NZ Outdoor Leisure show in Mount Maunganui.

We have led Balloons over Waikato to win the Best Waikato Event as voted by the people of Waikato for six of the last seven years and also won the prestigious Westpac Business Excellence Awards in 2008 in the not for profit sector. Managing Director Michele Connell, has also won this award for Best New Business, highlighting truly excellent management and business skills.

Classic Events has just been acknowledged as the winner of the Best Established Community Even in New Zealand for Balloons over Waikato at the NZAEP awards in 2015.
